Ollie "Ruth" Shanks, 93, of Etowah, TN passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at her residence.

Ruth was a member of Brookhill Baptist Church. She enjoyed delivering newspapers on her route and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ollie was preceded in death by her first husband, E.C. Williams; second husband, Stanley Shanks; parents, Grady and Grace Truelove; several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Dawn Williams; daughters and son-in-law, Eva and Mike Davis and Virginia Eidson; grandchildren, Michael Mullinax, Sarah Gray, Donald Dockins, Tara Jackson, Brandon Williams, Taylor Williams, Colton Williams, Kevin Mullinax and Glenn Mullinax and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Hannah Blinn.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2025 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Campbell officiating. Interment will follow the service in Green Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
