Samuel L. Buckner, age 80, of Etowah, TN passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at McMinn Memorial Nusing Home. He was the son of the late Earl and Stella Buckner and is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Anne Buckner; parents, listed above and daughter, Martha Renae Buckner. He was a loving husband and father. Survivors include, sons, Donald H., Samuel Jeffery, Paul Thomas, Lemuel Earl, Stephen Preston, and Mark Anthony Buckner; 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Powers, Ruby Russell, Bernell Harris, Evelyn Rayburn, Brenda Rayburn, and Margaret Casteel; brothers, Kenneth and Paul Buckner; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in the South Chapel. The family will recieve friends from 11:00 a.m., to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
