Samuel Crabtree, 80 of Riceville, TN passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at his residence.

He was a son of the late John Henry Crabtree and Willie Waldrop Crabtree. Sam was a farmer, and employed at the McMinn County School Bus Garage as a mechanic; he was of the Baptist Faith.

Preceded in death by his brother, WJ Crabtree; son, Mike Crabtree; and granddaughter, Misti Crabtree.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jerry Hicks Crabtree; 2 sons, Rex and Johnny Crabtree; daughter, Tami Crabtree all of Riceville; 2 granddaughters, Hailee Pilkey and Kandi Burnett; 2 great-grandchildren, Katie and Alex Burnett.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Watson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
