Samuel E. Firestone, 70 of Delano passed away Tuesday May 2, 2017 at his residence.

He was a son of the late S.G. and Cebue Firestone. Samuel was employed by Olin Cooperation for over 30 years.

Preceded in death by his Parents; special friend, Carolyn Lewis; sisters, Geneva Melton and Janice Armstrong.

Survivors include, 1 son, Chad Firestone; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy Yates, Becky and Dewayne Jones; 4 grandchildren, Haley Jones and Alli Jones, Josh and wife, Michelle Yates, Katie Yates; 6 brothers and 5 sister-in-laws, Harold and Betty Firestone, Boyd and Martha Firestone, Hoyt and Karen Firestone, Gilbert and Bobbie Firestone, J.P. Firestone; several nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Don Burris.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2017 in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Firestone and Robert Hatcher officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble Friday, May 5th at Chestuee Baptist Church Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
