Sanford Darrell "Pud" McConkey, 84, of Englewood, TN passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Life Care Center of Athens. Son of the late Dewey and Geneva Hamilton McConkey and preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Carine Burger McConkey; and 1 brother, Raymond McConkey.

"Pud" was a successful business man, licensed stock and investment broker, farmer and he loved the town of Englewood and his church, Englewood First Christian Church. He was a 1948 graduate of Englewood High School.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Berry McConkey; children, Kay McConkey Aguilar, Jamie and Venice McConkey, Stan McConkey, Lance and Angie McConkey; step-children, Randy and Nora Berry and David Berry; grandchildren, Jason McConkey, Cari McConkey, Marquez Aguilar, Cayci Hicks and Colby Eaton; step-grandchildren, David Berry, Dillon and Madison Berry; great-grandchildren, Kendyl, Taryn and Marli McConkey and Maddy and Hallie Hicks; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014, assembling at McMinn Memory Gardens with Minister David Caffee officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jamie, Stan, Lance and Jason McConkey, Kenny Carver and Colby Eaton.
