Shane Allen Standridge, 22, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville. Born Nov. 27, 1989, he was a lifelong resident of Etowah and was employed with Carlex Glass Company in Vonore. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Garnett Lawhorne and Tena Clark; his great-grandparents, Juanita and Garland Lewallen; and special friends, John Daugherty, David Eddington and Racheal Slade. Survivors include his parents, Dirk and Robin Standridge of Etowah; two brothers, Shawn Standridge of Etowah, and Bryandon Standridge of Cleveland; two sisters, Brandy Sneed of Etowah, and Tabitha Goins of Kinston, N.C.; his fiancé', Kimberly Shirk of Madisonville; his grandparents, Allen and Linda Standridge of Etowah, and Hilda Lawhorne of Delano; his in-laws, Jerry and Connie Shirk of Englewood; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Saturday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Brother Barry Williams and the Rev. Jerry Shirk officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Mars Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trent Lambert, Matt Kincannon, Dustin Owens, Justin Standridge, Jamie Sneed and Jake Swanson. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
