Shannon Barner Beaver, 58, of Etowah, TN passed away Friday, August 18, 2023.

Shannon was born February 25, 1965 in Fort Worth, Texas. She lived the majority of her life in Etowah, Tennessee. She was a longtime member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, where she later worked as the church secretary.

Shannon is preceded in death by her father, Stanley Barner; maternal grandmother, Johnnie Sue Keith; her mother, Elizabeth Barner; sister, Laurie Beth Barner; grandson, Brayden Bates.

Survivors include her daughter, Jade Hill; son, Jacob Hill; sister, Leigh Ricard; grandson, Bailey Bates; niece Kara Peak; many cousins and dear lifelong friends that became her family.

Shannon had lived the last several years in Durango, Colorado and loved the community and friends she had made there. She was blessed to add to her family many wonderful, faithful friends that loved and supported her through her illness and her passing. Even though she loved the beauty of Colorado, she always considered Tennessee her home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Aaron Pierce officiating. A gathering of friends will follow immediately after the service.
