Obituary

Shannon Brewer, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend, passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on September 20, 1972, Shannon lived her life with a profound strength rooted in her faith and a passion for her family.

As a stay-at-home mom, Shannon dedicated herself entirely to her role as a mother, cherishing every moment with her daughter, Mikenzie. She found immense joy in family reunions, where her warm spirit and love were felt by all who gathered. Shannon's commitment to her family extended beyond her immediate loved ones; she also maintained strong connections with several other extended family members, reflecting the importance of family in her life.

A wonderful wife to her husband, Wayne Brewer, Shannon embraced the joys and challenges of life with unwavering support and affection. Her friends held a special place in her heart, and she was equally loved by them for her kindness and loyalty. In her leisure time, Shannon enjoyed reading, a passion that allowed her to explore new worlds and ideas, further enriching her life. She also loved spending time with her furry companions. 

Shannon is survived by her husband, Wayne Brewer; her daughter, Mikenzie Brewer; and her mother, Nina Rowland; brother, Marcus Campbell. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Rowland; her paternal grandparents, Austin and Bodie Rowland; and her maternal grandparents, Luke and Carrie Bates.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28th in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Watson officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service in Cambria Baptist Church Cemetery.

Scott Cole, Mike Bates, Gary Carroll, David Carroll, Dustin Bates, Travis Bates, James Woodruff, Nathan Brewer will serve as pallbearers. 

The family would like to send a a special thank you to her caregivers, Ariel Sampson and Cynthia Crabtree.
