Sharon Ann Duggan, 68, of Etowah, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Woods Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of McMinn County and a lifelong resident of Etowah, she was a daughter of the late James Cruiser and Myrtle Mae Smith. She enjoyed being a loyal member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years. Her hobbies were fishing and hunting, and she was good at both. Survivors include her husband, James Duggan of Etowah; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Lisa Duggan and Christopher Duggan, all of Etowah; two grandchildren, Tristin and Dekota Duggan; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Laura and Tommy Leatherwood, Nadine and Charles Wilson and Jo Ellen Curtis; one half-sister, Vickie Standridge; several nieces and nephews; and her four-legged friend, Sam. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McMinn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Glenn Gamble officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
