IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sheila Annette
Williams Duncan
August 13, 2016
Sheila Annette Williams Duncan, 57 of Etowah passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Dwane and Mary Williams.
Preceded in death by her parents, listed above; and brother, Harvey Williams.
Beloved wife of 41 years to Stanley Duncan; mother to Charity and James King, Susan and Steve Thomas, Jessica and Brad; best nanny Duncan in the world to Hayden and Fischer Yarbrough and Elijah Powers; sister, Kim Williams; sister-in-law, Janice Williams.
Devoted wife, mother, nanny and friend to many. She never met a stranger without a smile on her face or a warm embrace. She loved many things but especially cooking for others or giving the last she may have to give. She loved being married to her husband Stanley so much so that when he asked her to marry him again she said yes. She loved him with everything she had in her and their love was and is the epitomy of what love is for us today. She also loved being a mom but even more than that looked forward to the day she would be blessed with grandchildren. Those grandsons were her world and she theirs. She loves hummingbirds and they represent a lot for our family. Proverbs 31: 28 her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also; and he praiseth her.As a hummingbird takes flight and we marvel at its beauty, we know when Sheila took flight to her heavenly home she marveled at its beauty as she was surrounded by her mom, dad, brother and Christ.
