Shirley Aileen Ingram, 85, of Etowah, TN, went home to be with her late husband, Omer, and their baby, Douglas, on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

She was born and lived the majority of her life in McMinn County. She worked as a seamstress for many years. Everyone that knew her knows that one of her favorite things to do was cook (especially for family.) If you came into her house, you were expected to sit and eat and have a cup of coffee. Aileen was a longtime member of East Etowah First Church of God. Another one of her favorite activities was to sit on her porch swing and read her Bible.

She was the daughter of the late Henry and Emma Buckner. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 59 years, Omer Ingram; infant son, Douglas Ingram; brother, Kenneth Buckner; and several precious brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Aileen left behind two children, Michael and his wife, Tena, Ingram of Etowah and Michelle and her husband, Mark, Ervin of Englewood; grandchildren, Heath Ingram, Emma Ervin, Brady Ervin, Jeremy and wife, Tara Shaw, Dustin Shaw and Chris Shaw; great-grandchildren, Tyler Shaw, Dakota, Hunter, Skylar, Xavier, Damon, Kaydence, Piper and Tyler Ingram; brother, Harold Buckner; sister-in-law, Georgia Ingram; in addition to her "blood" family, she also had her "adopted" family, Amy, Stephen, and Hannah Vaughn.

The family would like to thank NHC of Athens for her care the last few months.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2022, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Lloyd and Rev. David Watson officiating.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 22 at the funeral home and proceed to Mars Hill Cemetery for the 11 a.m. committal service.

Brady Ervin, Heath Ingram, Scott Buckner, Eddie Malone, Austin Duncan and Stephen Vaughn will serve as pallbearers.
