Sibyl Teresa "Terry" Lillard, 74, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. She was born on December 24, 1948. Terry was surrounded by her loving family as she went to be with the Lord.

Terry attended the University of TN where she received her Bachelor's Degree of Science in Education and later earned a Master's in Education. She also became certified to teach special education and braille. She was a long-time resident of Etowah and will be remembered by many as a Home Economics teacher at McMinn Central High School, where she taught for many years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Lake Monroe Lillard; son, Pat Lillard and parents, L.R. "Pat" Haney and Sibyl Tallent Haney.

Terry is survived by her son, John Matt Lillard; granddaughter, Jordyn Stratton (Chris); sisters, Joy Rose (Don), Carol Price (Jerry); brother, Jim Bruce Haney; several nieces, a nephew and two great-granddaughters.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 29, 2023 in Benton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dustin Wallace officiating.
