Sonny Gene Standridge, 65, of Benton, TN passed away Monday, May 12, 2025.

Sonny was a graduate of Meigs County High School. He spent most of his life working in the utility industry and retired from Etowah Utilities after 20 plus years of service. In his spare time Sonny enjoyed long rides on his motorcycle and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Standridge; parents, Gene and Bonnie Standridge; son, Barry Standridge; daughter, Brittany and spouse Anthony Wasser; two step sons and spouses,  Allan and Heather Young and Logan and Haley Young; brothers and sisters-in-law Rick and Sheila Standridge and Craig and Angie Standridge; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Cornelius and Cindy and Doug Price; grandchildren, Kaesyn,  Kynsle, Eloise, Allie, Ayden, Easton and Lakely; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Scotty and Gelene Price, Sammy and Wilma Thompson, Wade and Rose Wilcox, James and Debbie Price, Larry and Lisa Price; mother-in-law, Minnie Price; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Rymer officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., Saturday prior to the service.
