Stanley G. Shanks age 88, of Etowah, TN passed away Friday, September 11, 2015. He was the son of the late John & Beatrice Brooks Shanks.He was a member of Sweetwater Masonic Lodge as a 32rd Degree Mason.Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Johnny Shanks, and sister Doreen Shanks.Survivors include: his wife, Ollie Ruth Shanks, Son, Eddie shanks; Step Children, Allan Williams, Eva Davis, and Virginia Eidson. Grand Children : Amanda Akins, Jeremy Shanks, Dylan Shanks, Michael Mullinax, Glenn Mullinax, Kevin Mullinax, Sarah Gray, Donald Dockins, Tara Jackson, Brandon Williams, Taylor Williams, Colton Williams and many great grand children and great, great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Green Hill Cemetery. Pastor Gary Higdon will officiate.The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015 in the south Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.Pallbearers are Dylan Shanks, Brandon Williams, Taylor Williams, Kevin Mullinax, Glen Mullinax, Jeremy Shanks.
