Our loving mother, Stella Phillips Wade, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the age of 98 in Cleveland, TN.

Born in Elk City, Oklahoma to parents, Charlie and Carrie Plemons Phillips. She moved with her family at an early age to East Tennessee. Stella made her home in Etowah, TN after marrying her one true love, Dennis Wade in 1942. She was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Wade in 2008, her parents and all of her siblings which included five sisters and one brother.

Stella is survived by her two daughters, Linda Edwards-Russell and Shirley Davis; five granddaughters, Dr. Lindsay (James) Edwards, Christine (Jason) Scheib, Brooke Shannon Russell, Hayley (Doug) Davis and Kelsey Davis; four great-grandchildren, Madeline, Elliott, Nell, and Gus Scheib. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Eula Mae Wade Peavyhouse; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Joy was to live a full long life to enjoy and cherish every moment with her family. We invite all who knew her to join us to celebrate and remember her life.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2024 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Rayburn officiating.

Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Monday prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service in McMinn Memory Gardens.
