Steve James, 64, passed away peacefully Monday, March 27, 2017 at his home in Riceville, TN.
A native of McMinn County and avid outdoorsman, Steve was retired from a career that included employment as an EMT, a police officer, and later a firefighter for TVA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Temple Stewart James and James Wesley James. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Jenny James of Ringgold, GA, two granddaughters, Dublin and Lydian James, and two siblings, Wes James and Nancy Moates.
There will be a visitation and celebration of life on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Bordwine Funeral Home in Etowah, TN. Visitation will be open from 4:00-6:00 PM, with the service beginning at 6:00 PM. This will be a very relaxed service, and anyone wishing to share memories or thoughts about Steve is welcome to speak.
