Steven "Stevie" Alan Collins Jr., 44, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Stevie was a loving son, father, and friend. His warmth and energy radiated to others and his kindness welcomed all. Stevie never met a stranger and was one of the most resilient people you could meet.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, L.R. and Margaret Masengil; uncle, Rocky Masengil of Englewood; paternal grandparents, Jean and Wayne Collins of Etowah; aunt, Jennifer Ann Collins Murphy of Athens.

Stevie was survived by his mother and father, Letena and Steve Collins Sr.; brother, Philip Collins; children, Summer Jones, Shyann Collins, Star Collins, Lexi Collins, Logan Collins, Ramsey Stephens; and dear friend, Kayla Stephens.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Cochran Cemetery with Chad Hester officiating.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
