Steven Edward Goodner, 73 of Etowah, TN passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at his residence. He was a son of the late Duster and Nettie Goodner. He was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church; he retired from J.M. Huber; and he served in the Army National Guard.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennie Goodner; sister, Garnett Everett

Survivors include his wife, Celia W. Goodner; brother and sister-in-law, Sammie and Mary Goodner of Cleveland, TN, sisters, Mildred Massey of FL, and Doris Caldwell of Georgetown, TN; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at North Etowah Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Wade and Dr. Gerald Atkins officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the church. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 4th at the funeral home and proceed to Green Hill Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

Bobby Jones, Bill Hixon, Doyle Barnett, James Janes, Sid Averett and David Bagwell will serve as pallbearers. Steve's Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
