Stone Carlton Lowry, 55, of Athens, TNpassed awayMonday, September 1, 2014 at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga. He was a son of the late Marvin W. and Peggy Boring Lowry. He worked over 20 years at Johnson Controls and was awarded a tennis college scholarship. Preceded in death by his grandparents, C.U. "Cub" and Christine "Ma" Boring and Marvin Sr. and Stella Lowry.

Survivors include 1 brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Sandy Jo Lowry; girlfriend, Debbie Bright; nieces and nephews, Joshua and Bethany Lowry; and grandnephew and nieces, Caleb Lowry and Abby.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 4,2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
