Sue Ballinger Stone, 70, of Etowah, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at her daughter's residence in Etowah. A native of Cleveland and resident of Etowah for the past 47 years, she was a daughter of the late Aubrey and Nellie Moore Ballinger. She was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church and was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy, Doyle and Glenn Ballinger. Survivors include her husband, Roy Stone of Etowah; one son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Angie Stone of Tellico Plains; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Regina and Pat Boyd, Robin and Jason Means and Rachelle Stone, all of Etowah; grandchildren, Steven and Lacey Stone, Dakota Stone, Brittney and Shelby Boyd, Bradey and Chandler Harrill, and Hunter Culberson; and one sister and brother-in-law, Dalphna and Gerald Kuykendall. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010 in the South Chapel, with the Rev James Atkins, Speaker Steven Stone and Dr. Harold Curtis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 16th and proceed to Green Hill Cemetery for the 2 p.m. committal service.
