Susie Mae "Granny" Johnson Coleman, age87,of Englewood, TN, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville.She was a charter member of Dixon Ave. Baptist Church and thedaughter of the late Rev. Zeb and Georgia Anne Buckner Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Charles "Junior" Coleman, son; Ronnie Coleman, brothers; Arthur, Reed, Lee Roy, Edward, and Jim Johnson, sister; Frances Gibson Watts, and son in-law; Stan Moses. She was a good friend and helpful to everyone in her neighborhood. She was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother and a special aunt.
Survivors include her daughter;Barbara Moses of Goodsprings,step-children;Frankie and Billy,grandchildren;Greg Moses of Athens,Lacie Moses,Shaye Rogers and fiancé Eddie Coulter of Athens,Candy and Robert Burk of Vonore, great grandchildren;Isabella Haren of Athens,Cole, Emma, and Jacob Rogers of Athens,Morgane and Michael Lowe, of Vonore, andKai Burk of Vonore,great great-grandchild;Bane Coulter,sister and brother in-law;Dean and Edwin Wilson of Etowah,sister in-law;Ina Jo Johnson of Englewood,special nieces;Edna "Tookie" Roberts of Madisonville,Eleanor "Diddie" Long of Ellijay GA,special friends;Caroleen Thompson of Etowah,Sharon and Larry Anderson of Etowah,Lucy Gay of Englewood,Kathleen Evans of Athens,and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2015 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.Rev. Allen Watson will officiate.Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the funeral home.The family will meet 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 21, 2015 at the funeral home and go in procession for the 11:00 a.m. committal service at Cochran Cemetery.
