Terry R. Evans Sr., 49, of Athens, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He a son of Jessie Kyle and the late Cletus Evans. Survivors include his mother, Jessie Kyle of Athens; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Randy and Mary Evans of Madisonville, and Brandon Evans of New Jersey; one daughter, Tanya Evans of Athens; two granddaughters, Hannah and Marci Evans, both of Madisonville; one grandson, Tyler Gunn of Madisonville; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Sherman Shamblin of Riceville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Garland and Paula Evans and Ken Evans, all of Athens; two half-sisters, Shannon Lillard of Cleveland, and Lisa Watson of Reliance; special nieces and nephew, Jessica, Amber and Shaye Evans, all of Athens, Thomas Lillard and Carly Evans; one special aunt and uncle, Jerry and Inez Fain of Athens; long time companion, Linda Jenkins; and several cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank P. Lowery officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and will proceed to Delano Cemetery for the 11 a.m. burial. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the family on the night of the visitation.
