Thelma Lee Newman Black, 84, of Missouri, formally of Etowah, passed away Saturday,March 8, 2014. The daughter of the late Bruce and Gertie Newman. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Black; daughter, Connie Basile; and grandson, Jeremy Brock; 6 brothers, Thomas, James, William, Donald, Carl, and Walter Newman; 6 sisters, Natalie, Aileen, Berniece, Edith, Imogene and Elizabeth.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Rex and Pattie Black, Perry and Shelia Black Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and James Stone; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and spouses, Ken, Bob and Julia, Jerry and Connie Newman.

Funeral service was held at Wentzville Church of Christ in Wentzville, MO Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2015 in Etowah Cemetery.
