Thomas "Ira" Curtis III, 44, of Etowah, TN passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his residence. A son of Thomas Ira Curtis, Jr. and Sally Bookout Kindle, he was employed by East Tennessee Warehouse. Proceded in death by his grandparents, James and Jackie Bookout, T.I. Curtis, Sr.; and uncle, David Curtis.

Ira was always joking around with his friends and family, he loved to laugh, loved being around people and was very proud to be a part of his family. Ira always let you know you were loved. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include, his mother and step-father, Sally and Rich Kindle; father and step-mother, T.I. and Joyce Curtis; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Rod Taylor; step-sister Shannon McPhail; grandmother, Geneva Curtis; nephew, Jacob Taylor; niece, Jaclyn Taylor; step-nieces Jordan McPhail and Elizabeth Carpenter; several aunts and uncles.

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. John Crabtree officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Green Hill Cemetery Wednesday, December 3, 2014 for the 10:00 a.m., committal service.
