Thomas "Sonny" Triplett, 84, of Etowah, TN, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024.

Sonny served 4 years in the United States Navy. He spent over 10 years serving communities in our surrounding areas as a minister. Sonny enjoyed coaching and mentoring children as well as his own children in the Dixie Youth Baseball league. Sonny was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Emma Triplett; son, Glenn "Snake" Triplett; several siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Inez Triplett; children and spouses, Tony and Audra Triplett, Rasinda and Mitch Hayes; grandchildren, Daniel Triplett, Ryan Triplett, Jessica Terry and spouse Josh and Jacey Hayes; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Leona Haney, Darrel Triplett, Betty Hamby and Nina Reynolds; daughter-in-law, Lesley Triplett; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2024, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Johnny Scoggins officiating.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Mountain View Cemetery (Brock Cemetery) on Friday, September 6th, for the 10:00 a.m. committal service.
