Sergeant Timothy Andrew Duggan age 29 of Etowah passed away Tuesday, June 21st at his home. He was the son of Allan and Pam Varnell Duggan. Timothy was a member of the Army National Guard. He enjoyed playing rook and spending time with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Arthur and Ida Lou Duggan of Etowah; James and Juanita Varnell of Charleston; one sister Tiffany Amber Duggan; one nephew Hunter Blake Haney of Cleveland.
Survivors include parents listed above; 2 sisters and brothers-in-laws, Tammy and Paul Gentry of Athens, Misty and David Haney of Cleveland; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Shannon Duggan of Etowah, Kevin and Dhea Duggan of Riceville, Adam and Ashley Duggan of Knoxville, Bryan and Mayemma Duggan of Knoxville; 7 nieces and 7 nephews, wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Billy Carter, a truer friend no man could have. Candy and Sherry thank you for trying so hard to save his life.
Funeral Service wil be held on Saturday, June 25th and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Athens at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 24th in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Family and friends will proceed to Green Hill Cemetery after the service Saturday for the burial.David Duggan, Kevin Duggan, Adam Duggan, Bryan Duggan, David Haney and Harmon Hardin will serve as pallbearers.
