Timothy Joe Lenker, 67, of Etowah, TN, passed away, Tuesday, October 19, 2021. He was born on November 11, 1953; a native of Union City, OH and enjoyed living in Tennessee since 1998. He graduated from Mississinawa Valley High School.
Tim loved riding his motorcycle with his wife Mirinda to waterfalls; he loved camping and spending time with his family. Tim retired from the maintenance department at Johns Manville and was very skilled at welding and woodworking. He was a terrific euchre player; he loved going to Las Vegas and enjoyed telling stories that always ended with "what-not" and "what have you."
Tim was a practicing Christian and enjoyed a strong relationship with God. He was a very strong patriot and proudly served in the US Army for six years.
Tim never met a stranger and enjoyed getting to know others. He was affectionately known as "Tim-Bob Ray." He loved country music, bonfires and supporting his kids and grandkids.
He enjoyed playing basketball and coaching his kids. He rarely missed his kids' or grandkids' softball, baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, football, track or wrestling matches. He loved reading western novels and spent some of his time learning about Native American history and culture.
Tim will be missed by many and loved by all who were able to get to know him during his time with us.
Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lenker; his mother, Wilma Jean Mangen; one sister, Janice Lenker; and one grandson, Christian Michael Lee Lenker; and his pet dog, Lily.
Survivors include his wife, Mirinda; children and their spouses, Kristina and Kevin Daniel, Timothy and Sarah Lenker, Joseph and Brandy Lenker, Adam and Tabitha Lenker; step-daughters, Davonne Wiggs and Mirissa Wiggs; daughter, Jennifer Lenker; grandchildren, David, Jeff, Brooklyn, Taylor, Tyler Kegan, Layla, Sophia and Maliyah; granddogs, Goober, Cinnamon and Rocky; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and John Schroeder, Carol and Steve Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Sheila Lenker; he is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow the service in New Bethel Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 22 nd at the funeral home.
