He was a resident of McMinn County for most of his life, and a resident of Murfreesboro for 12 years. He was a member of Eastanallee Baptist Church, was a 1998 graduate of McMinn County High School, and a 2003 graduate of MTSU in Murfreesboro. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Larkin and Rossie Casteel, and Mitchell and Ethel Partain.

Survivors include his parents, Lewis M. and Alice Casteel Partain of Athens; half-sister, Janet Rogers of Franklin; a special aunt, Tinker Martin of Englewood; special friend, Ross Carroll; and many family members and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at McMinn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Oran Creasman officiating.

There will be no formal visitation held.
