Troy Hampton, age 90, of Athens, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN.He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Hampton.Survivors include sons, Virgil Hampton of Hudson, FL and James Hampton of Englewood, TN; daughters, Barbara Maxwell of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Rebecca Young of Englewood, TN; and grandchildren, Charles Hampton, David Hampton, Nathan Hampton, and Stacy Hampton.Graveside service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 with Rev. Bill Vest officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
