Velma Crittenden, 91, of Etowah, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at NHC Health Care of Chattanooga. A native of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late John and Harriet Hughes. She was a member of Etowah Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Crittenden. She was retired from Proffitts "Belk" Department Store. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Bourn of Chattanooga; one granddaughter, Justina Chadwick of Chattanooga; two great-grandchildren and one spouse, Lindsey and Mark Wyatt and Brandon Edmondson, all of Chattanooga; one great-great-grandson, Drew Wyatt; one sister, Pauline Parris of San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and one nephew, all from San Antonio, Texas. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Thursday at Goodsprings Cemetery with Minister Will Arnold officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
