Velma Lee Waller Baker, 96, formerly of Etowah, TN, passed away, Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Townsend Park and Rehabilitation Center, Cartersville GA.She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church of Etowah and the daughter of the late Thomas and Ida Waller. Preceded in death by her husband, the late Coach Buenos Baker; son, William Kinzel Baker; and daughter-in-law, Anne Baker. Survivors include Daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Arlon Traylor of Adairsville, GA; 4 grandchildren, Rick Baker of Niota, TN, Kin Baker of Lawrenceville, GA, Lee Ann Lewman of Acworth, GA and Billie Dean Stewart of Acworth, GA; 4 great-grandchildren, Christopher Stewart of Kennesaw, GA, Matthew Stewart of Marietta, GA, Susana Baker of Lawrenceville, GA and Daniel Baker of Athens, GA; Several nieces and nephews.Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Green Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Aaron Pierce officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2012, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
