Viola Jeanette Davis, 92, of Etowah, died Saturday night, March 9, 2013, at Etowah Health Care Center. A native of McMinn County, she was a member of East Athens Baptist Church. A daughter of the late Arvil "Dickie" and Rosa White Davis, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles "Gene" and Carl E. "Buzz" Davis. Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Jeanette Harris, Betty Jo Randle and Charlene Rowland, all of Etowah; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill Gene and Shelby Davis of Athens; grandchildren and spouses, Angel and Edward Hendrickson, Tonya and Thomas Balkom, Steve Yarber, Kimberly Belk, Janice Rowland, Kim Rowland and Michael Davis; and great-grandchildren, Cassidy Brooke Balkom, Hensley Davis and Cory Davis.Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Eldridge Cullum officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from to 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
