Virginia Kathryn Harrison, 87, of Etowah, TN passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Virginia was a long-time member of North Etowah Baptist Church. She was retired from First National Bank of Etowah. She loved her family dearly and she enjoyed cooking for them. Her hobbies included cross stitching, doing word searches, and most importantly reading her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Harrison Jr.; parents, Elmer and Nancy Whitehead; daughter, Betty White; sister, Dorothy Williams; brother-in-law, Herbert Williams.

Survivors include her son, Rex Harrison; grandson, Dustin Rymer (Jodi); two granddaughters, Kathryn Harrison Libera (Danny), Leslie Harrison Hicks (Scott); two great-granddaughters, Lillian Saige Libera and Aaliyah Elizabeth Rymer; four great-grandsons, Harrison Victor Libera, Samuel Martin Hicks, Charles Eugene Hicks, Derrick "Austin" Miller; sister, Charlotte Gates (Gary); brothers, Ray Whitehead (Sue), Earl Whitehead (Sharon); a host of friends and family.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2022 at North Etowah Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Ellis officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday prior to the service.  Family and friends will assemble at Green Hill Cemetery, Saturday, September 24th for the 11:00 a.m. entombment.
