Walter "Pat" Stewart, 64, of Tellico Plains, died Monday, January 18, 2010 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. The son of the late John and Sue Crye Stewart, he was a native of Etowah and resident of Monroe County for many years. He was a retired MSgt from the U.S. Air Force after 24 years of service. He attended Starr Mountain Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Susie Stewart and a grandchild, Loren Stewart. Survivors include his wife, Mardivite Lanoy Stewart of Tellico Plains; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Tammy Stewart of Clinton; two granddaughters, Sarah and Heather Stewart; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Myers Funeral Home in Tellico Plains with Minister Pat Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Conasauga Cemetery at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20th for the committal service.
