Wanda J. Allison, of Athens, Tennessee, formerly of Stockbridge, GA, passed peacefully at her home on December 7, 2025.
Born in Maryville, Tennessee, she was a devoted woman of the Baptist faith who dearly loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and joyful personality touched everyone she met. She was employed at Keebler Baking Company for 30 years.
Wanda had a gift for making a house feel like a home. She loved to cook and share meals with those she cared about. Her love for animals especially her beloved cat, Kitter-Cat was well known. Above all, she treasured her husband and family.
Being a grandmother brought her immense joy, and she especially cherished the years spent raising her grandson, Ellis Laird, who held a very special place in her heart. She enjoyed shopping with her daughter, long conversations, and the chance to brighten someone's day, Wanda never met a stranger. With her quick wit and warm laughter, she kept her family smiling and was truly the glue that held them all together.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Moultrie and LaRue Ridge; her brothers, Wendell Ridge and Jack Ridge; and her beloved grandson, Joshua Gray.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Allison; her son, David (Christy) Gray; her daughter, Talina (Ryan) Zuegel; and her siblings, Shelia Ridge, Frances Bookout, Peggy Gray, and Mildred Dillard. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Ellis Laird (Emily), Tiffany Gray, and Alyssa Zuegel, along with a great-grandchild on the way, James Laird.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Randall and Sonya Dillard for their devoted care.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Kent Bookout officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.
Family and friends will assemble at Four Mile Cemetery in Blount County, Wednesday, December 10th for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
Wanda will be remembered for her boundless love, her faith, and the joy she brought to every life she touched.
