Wanda Sue McDaniel
Wanda Sue McDaniel, 66, of Etowah, passed away surrounded by her family, Friday, February 7, 2014. She was a native of McMinn County and was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a daughter of the late Jiles and Ida Lou Buchanan and was preceded in death by her parents, listed above; mother-in-law, Pearl McDaniel; father-in-law, Lewis McDaniel; brother, Wayne Buchanan; and brothers-in-law, Don Smith and Newell McDaniel.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby McDaniel of Etowah; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Michelle McDaniel and David and Melissa McDaniel all of Etowah; daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Charlie Green of Etowah; grandchildren, Justin and Ashley McDaniel, Nathan and Stephanie McDaniel, Alyssa McDaniel, Jessica McDaniel, Caity McDaniel, Amber Bishop, Cody Green, and Jake Green, all of Etowah; great-grandchildren, Carson and Dalyn McDaniel and Autumn and Carly Fessler all of Etowah; sisters, Ruby Smith and Betty Millsaps both of Etowah; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thurman and Glenda McDaniel of Athens, Austin and ULafaya McDaniel of Madisonville, J.L. and Edna Self of Maryville, and Sue Buchanan of Etowah; lifetime friend, Sadie Shepherd; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Minister Pat Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 10th and proceed to Macedonia Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m., committal service. Justin, Cody, Jake, Mike, Jeff, Ricky, and Nathan will serve as pallbearers. Zach and Doug will serve as honorary pallbearers.
