Wanda "June" Simpson died peacefully on June 30, 2017 at the age of 81.

June is survived by her daughter, Holly and her husband Todd Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents, E.N. and Fannette Ammons of Knoxville.

June was born on July 26, 1935 in Knoxville, TN. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1953. After moving to Englewood, TN, June began working for McMinn County Schools as a secretary and bookkeeper at Englewood School. She later transferred to McMinn Central High School to become the bookkeeper there, where she worked until her retirement. June was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Englewood.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 3rd at 10:00 AM at McMinn Memory Gardens and will be officiated by Pastor Phillip Martin.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to the McMinn County Regional Humane Society, P.O. Box 7, Athens, TN 37371.
