Wayne "W.L." Watson, 67, of Etowah, TN passed away, January 27, 2023.

If he wasn't caring for his wife, W.L. loved to tinker around in his garage. He enjoyed discussing and reading about trucking. He would talk about it to anyone who would listen. He loved to read his Bible and talking to and about The Lord. W.L. was very proud of his grandchildren for all they have accomplished.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Fred and Geneva Watson; brother, Nathaniel Watson and Raymond Watson; sister, Bernice Watson; stepdaughter, Jamie Brown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Linda Watson; children, Juanita Watson and Jason Watson; stepdaughter, Tiresa Carlisle; grandchildren, Taylor Hicks and wife, Brittany Hicks; Jacob Watson, Ethan Watson, Bricen Derrick, Lincoln Watson; great-grandchildren, Jaxtyn and Luka Hicks; great-grandbaby on the way, Kai Derrick; step-grandchildren, Dylan and Kelsey Hill, Courtney Henson, Tim and Stephanie Bright, Terry Carlisle; brother and sister-in-law, Amos and Deloris Watson; several extended family members.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 5th, 2023 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Cardin officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service in Chestua Campground Cemetery.

Tracy Watson, Tim Watson, Tony Watson, Taylor Hicks, Bricen Derrick, Dylan Stiles and Steven Stiles will serve as pallbearers.
