Willard Clyde Gay, 78, of Englewood, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 surrounded by his family, at U.T. Medical Center, Knoxville, TN.

He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and retired from Mayfield's after 47years.He was a son of the late Floyd and Annis Gay, and was preceded in death by his parents, listed above; infant brother, Georgie Gay; brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Thelma Gay; brother, Paul Gay; sister, Ruby Torbett; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lilly Mae Gay Aldridge and Junior Aldridge, Lena and Jack Watson, and Nannie and Curtis Manery; sister-in-law Ruth Gay. Survivors include wife of 37 years, Bell Marie Gay of Englewood; brothers and sisters-in-law, J. L. Gay of Etowah, Kenneth and Faye Gay and Roy and Ann Gay all of Englewood; sister-in-law, Josie Gay of Englewood; special niece, Paula Land; special nephew, J.J. Land; and several very special nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Cummins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12 noon, Wednesday, February 12th and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 1:00 p.m., committal service. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
