William H. "Bill" Johnson, 79, of Englewood,TN passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a son of the late Charlie and Allie Ellis Johnson. He worked for the Coca Cola Company for 13 years and Bowater for 23 years; and a faithful Member of Dixon Ave. Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by parents; brother, Bob Johnson; his beloved in-laws whom he adored, Pearl and Edna Davis; and brother-in-law, Herschel Davis.

He enjoyed going to church, singing in the choir and garden work. He was a hardworking father and loving "Pa" to his grandchildren. He loved doing generous secret acts of kindness for others.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Barbara Joyce Johnson; 4 children and spouses, Jannah and Jeff Mull, Jamie and Stanley Hammonds, LeAnn and Marty Hammonds and Brad and Lori Johnson; 7 grandchildren, Jerod Mull, Jodi Mull Glass, Jeremy Hammonds, Seth Hammonds, Jordan Hammonds, Luke Johnson and Levi Johnson; 9 great-grandchildren, Maggie, Haleigh, Kaiden, Bella, Sawyer, Jaxon and Sebastian Hammonds, Anastasio and Leo Mull; 4 siblings, Louise Plemons, Virginia Watson, Mary Gray and Ted Johnson.

A special thanks to the staff of Amedysis Hospice, especially Logan, Melissa and Carrie; also to a caring neighbor, Nina Carlee.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Hammonds officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday prior to the service. The Interment will follow service to Wildwood Cemetery.

Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers and "The Breakfast Club" will serve as honorary pallbearers.
