William Ira "Bill" Masengil, 94 of Englewood, TN passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at his residence. A native of Ivy, TN and a lifelong resident of Englewood; he was son of the late Leonard and Lula Lee Masengil.

Member of the Scottish Rites Masons of the 32nd degree; Manilla Lodge #633, Englewood; the Order of the Eastern Star; and member of Wilson Station Presbyterian Church; Veteran of the US Navy and served in WWII. He was a retired boiler maker and welder for TVA.

Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Dolores Price Masengil; parents, listed above; brothers, Noel, Verlin, Marvin, L. R. Masengil; sisters, Nora Evans, Velma Dyke, Vida Brock, Mae Masengil; daughter-in-law, Lucile Rogers Masengil

He enjoyed farming, hunting, gardening and spending time with family

Survivors include, his son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Marsha Masengil of Englewood; daughters and sons-in-law, Regenia Masengil Richeson and Chris of Englewood, and Annette Masengil McJunkin and Ken of Athens; grandchildren, Brandon, Adam, and Kevin Masengil, Kelsie Richeson, Callie and husband Cody Cook, Kennedy and Connor McJunkin both of Athens

A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home, the funeral will follow with Rev. David Graybeal and Rev. Bill McGinnis officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Cochran Cemetery Wednesday, October 14, 2015 for the 11:00 a.m. committal service with military honors.

Brandon Masengil, Adam Masengil, Kevin Masengil, Connor McJunkin, Tim Masengil and David Brock will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody Cook, Chris Richeson, Jim Middleton, Ken McJunkin, Jeremy Peace and members of Manilla Lodge 633.
