William Larry Borden, 84, of Englewood, TN passed away, Sunday, November 24, 2019.

He was a son of the late Gib and Pauline Borden.

Preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lela Borden; sister, Annie Borden Derrick of Etowah.

He was a native and lifelong resident to Englewood, TN; and a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Englewood; Larry graduated from TWC in 1957 and holds a Master's Degree from Tusculum College. Larry owned and operated Borden's Furniture Store for 25 years; associated with Graphics Screen Printing for many years; taught at Englewood High School; he taught marketing at McMinn Central High School for over 30 years; he was the DECA sponsor and traveled to state and national competitions with many students; he was also well known and appreciated by many for his love of coffee and conversations.

Larry touched the lives of numerous students through the 48 years he spent in public education.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Lisa Borden of Madisonville, TN, Brian Borden and husband, Rob of Atlanta, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Denise Borden Cunningham and husband, Jeff of Athens, TN; grandchildren, Sarah Cunningham  Thompson and husband Philip of Nashville, TN, Lauren and Anna Grace Cunningham both of Athens, TN and Abbey Borden of Madisonville, TN;

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 27 ^th at McMinn Memory Gardens with Pastor Russ Maples officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26 ^th in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
