William Curtis Williams, 90 of Etowah, TN passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his resident with his family by his side. A native of McMinn County and a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and son of the late Will and Dicie Wilson Williams. Preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mildred Williams; parents; brothers, Wade, Richard, Roy and Theades Williams; sisters, Joy Bell Williams and Laurie Duncan; and great-granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Wilson.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Paul Wilson; grandchildren, Tonia and Brandon Watters, Chad Wilson and Russell Coleman; great-grandchildren, Russell Watters, Johnna Varner, Mandie Watters, Holly Givens and Emily Wilson; 2 great-great-granddaughters, Allison Varner and Lillie Mae Givens; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Loula Williams; sister, Jessie Mae Gunter; and sister-in-law, Mamie Coleman.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Coleman officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at New Zion Cemetery, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 for the 10:00 a.m., committal service.
Jim William, Robert Bivens, Avery Young, Russell Watters, Chad Wilson, Rusty Coleman, Jimbo Williamsand O'Neal Graywill serve as honorary pallbearers.
