William Roy "Bill" Johnson, 66, of Englewood, TN, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at U. T. Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.A native of Highlands, NC, he moved to Englewood 45 years ago and has lived here most of his life. He was an employee of Bowater for 38 years and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. A son of the late Howard and Leila Johnson, he was preceded in death by his parents, listed above; one brother, Robert Johnson; and one sister Mary Johnson Owens. Survivors include his wife, Pauletta Deatherage Johnson of Englewood; one sister, Mavis Burrell of Clayton; and 2 special girls, Jody Shadden Pillion and Lexi Pillion.Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with his friend, Jim Ball speaking. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., prior to the service. Family and
friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 5th and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 a.m., committal service with military honors. Robbie Shearer, Billy Roach, Bud Peeler, Josh Stevens, Jerry Shadden, Don Noah and Gary Henderson will serve as pallbearers.
