William Douglas Whitener, 76, of Etowah TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday November 22, 2019.

He was a son of the late Alex and Sallie Casteel Whitener.

Preceded in death his brother, Dennis L. Whitener.

He worked over 35 years at JM Huber; his passion was restoring old cars and tractors; an active member of the coffee club of Hardees; and he was Church of God faith.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda R. Whitener; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Teresa Whitener; daughter, Shelly Miller and Ryan Coffelt; grandchildren, Nathan and Katelyn Whitener, Megan and Ben Stiles, Noah Miller, Preston Miller; great-grandchildren, Casen and Huntson Stiles, Laiklee Whitener; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Brunner Young.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Mars Hill Cemetery with Dennis Bordwine officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 25 ^th at Bordwine Funeral Home.
