Winston L. Bain, 70, of Etowah, passed away, Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga, TN.Born January 5, 1941, he was a son of the late Lester Lee and Emma Orr Bain. He served his country in the United States Army and was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bain; parents, listed above, and one son, Lee Bain.Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Yvette and Rodney Cook of Englewood; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Bain and Melissa Doss of Athens and Duane and Teresa Bain of Etowah; four sisters, Sue Hickson of CA, RobertaCulberson of CA, Margaret Bryson of Etowah, and Mary Lou Nanece of CA; two brothers, James Bain of the Claxton Community and Gary Bain of Etowah; four grandchildren, Devin Bain, Josh Bain, Maranda Bain, Jessica Doss and Holly Cook; three great-grandchildren, special great-granddaughter, Destiny Bain, Cheyenne Bain and Kailie Wingate; several nieces, nephews and other family members.Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Curtis and Bro. Brad Lane officiating The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Bordwine Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2011 and proceed to Conasauga Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m., committal service with military honors Josh Bain, David Wingate, Timmy Bryson, David Plemons, Johnny Harris and Edward Weeks will serve as pallbearers.
