Zee Ellen Pickel, age 77, of Englewood, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at her residence.

A daughter of the late Carl Tate and Mary Catherine Richeson, she was a native of Rockwood, and lived in Englewood for most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Englewood since childhood, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Ann Allen.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Pickel of Englewood; one daughter and son-in-law, Anita Kay and Marvin Preast of Kissimmee, FL; one son, Charles Keith Pickel and Donna Cole of Athens; one sister Virginia Jo Brock of Etowah; three grandchildren, Daniel Edward Preast of Kissimmee, FL, Erika Stroud of Howe, TX and Amanda Kay Miller of St. Cloud, FL; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be7 p.m. Tuesday in the South Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Russ Maples officiating. Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
